Do you know your Role?
What does it really mean for a wife to submit to her husband?  Many women don't particularly like the word submission.  Could it be because they have the wrong perspective?  Biblically, it was never meant for a wife to be enslaved by her husband.  Over time social perception and the independent lifestyle has distorted the definition of submission.  Listed below are some roles that best describe what a wife should be to her husband.

Always willing to do her husband good.  That means to never do anything out of spite.

Become the husband's unique and suitable helper. 

Helping out with chores and cleaning responsibilities of the house.  Notice the keyword is underlined.

Become a creative member of the team and maintaining a good attitude.  The wife sets the tone in the marriage.  By team, I am referring to Husband and Wife.

Offering suggestions, advice, and corrections to the Husband when needed in a loving fashion.  Make an effort to be considerate and refrain from nagging.  "It's not what you say, it's how you say it."

Praising the husbands talents or gifts.  This is important because a man needs to fill needed and useful in his relationship.

Make an effort to give thanks to your husband efforts.  Men like to feel appreciated just like women do so; don't hold back the compliments.
