We can only blame ourselves!

5 reasons you can't blame the economy for your money problems

It's obvious that we are experiencing hard times with the U.S. economy in a recession. There are roughly 4 people for every 1 job opening and; people are scuffling to make ends meet. With people now strapped for cash, many thriving local businesses have now turned into vacant buildings. Everyone has cut back on their expenses in one form or another. The flipside to this is that our circumstance is a result of our condition. You can't blame the banks and mortgage industry for all of all problems. I will list 5 of the biggest reasons our money doesn't work for us.
Our image comes first
With so many businesses experiencing hard times; it doesn't seem like Hair, nails, and weave shops are fighting for customers. Now, I do want these businesses to prosper.... But, you shouldn't be in a salon if you are struggling to keep your utilities on. Learn how to apply your own cosmetics!
Now that the sun has peaked out a little bit; car washes have been full. I agree that cars should be kept clean but, you are misguided if you are lined up waiting at the auto-washer every weekend. Tire shine, cleaners, fresheners, and vacuuming add up quickly. On top of that, throw in rims, paint, audio equipment, and tint. Now you accessories cost more than your car is worth. We all know people who value the upkeep of their cars more so than their own body.
Nightclubs parking lots are still full
Why is it that clubs and bars are still packed out in these times? This is the main reason we are getting dressed up and cleaning our rides is to go to the night-spot. See the connection? On top of that, we are eating and drinking our money away while we are there. Funny thing is that these are the same people who find it hard to offer their tithes to the Lord in church.
Package Stores are still packed
Man we sure do know how to pick some expensive habits... Not only is this unhealthy but, it's a waste of money. Matter of fact, just kick the habit or get some new friends to help you out. It could be the best way to immediately change your mental state if you fall into the category of trying to drink or smoke your sorrows away.
We have forgotten about our Gas crisis
Now that spring is around the corner, cruising the strip (just to be seen) has picked up again. The Gas crisis taught us to stay at home if you don't have anywhere important to go. Seems that we forget so quickly...
Our spending don't stay in our neighborhood
We are the first ones to patronize brands and services outside of our community. And will pay top dollars so; we can tell our friends how much we spent. That is the main reason why our money isn't recycled back into our community. It has been proven that we are powerful consumers when we target our money. Everyone else besides us seems to be cashing in on the black hip culture. But, we turn around patronize foreign brands to show our neighbors that we have something that they don't have. If we don't take responsibility for our own, who will?

the economy may be part of the blame for large crowds at bars. black people alway find a way to release the stree in times of deprivation. we're going to party regardless of having money to keep the utilities on.
