Love thy Neighbor??

I'm sure you all know the story about the embarrassing arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Gates at his own home. Let's forget the fact that Sgt Crowley credentials should' ve kept the incident from escalating the way it did. Or, that Prof. Gates may have provoked Crowley. Or, the fact that President Obama let his emotions get the better of him. Wipe all of that clean from your memory banks!
I don't know about you but, I'm willing to bet that Gates isn't accompanied by many black neighbors in Cambridge. I'm not playing on the race card but, it plays a major part in terms of noticing who your neighbors are. It's a lot easier to notice a neighbor that is a minority as oppose to one that is a majority.
You can't give, "the I didn't know it was him" role. Now, I don't know half of my neighbors names but, I for darn sure know them by face. What I am getting at is the fact that Prof. Gate's neighbor called the Cops on him. Had they know it was him would this have happened? My hunch is that they knew all along what they were doing. I could be wrong but, it blows my mind that no one looked at this angle.
All in all, this happened and got blown out of proportion because there was no love (in the compassion form) between Crowley, Gates, or his neighbor.
Peep this empowering scripture below:
Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD. (Leviticus 19:18)
