Cosby not feeling the cutback for PA schools

As of lately, most people hear Bill Cosby talking but, don't care to listen.  The Black community has definitely shied away from his tirades as of recent.  This has mostly to do with the fact that he has been telling the TRUTH about most of our short comings.  I most definitely co-sign on what he has to say about the deteriorating communities.

The most recent issue that has him stirred up are the proposed cutbacks on education.  The Philadelphia native has long been an advocate for education.  I agree with his stance totally and applaud him for taking action.  Peep out the AP story below:

""No more cuts!" Cosby declared at the beginning and end of a shortspeech that was part of a celebration marking the steady improvementsin Pennsylvania students' test scores in math and reading.

"Ladies and gentlemen, is it thatwe don't like children? I mean, what did these people ever do to youthat you want to cut? They're moving on a course that is very, veryfavorable," said Cosby.

"Why would you want to take money from thesuccess story and pull back on it so that they will start to enterprison?"

He said taxpayers get their money's worth from theirinvestment in public schools.

He said it costs less than $5,000 a yearto educate a young person but $33,000 a year to incarcerate someone."

I didn't know that it cost that much to incarcerate someone...  We surely need to invest in preventive measures...
