Test Time!!

Have you ever opened your email inbox and see that you have received the ‘lottery winner’ or ‘inheritance’ message from some foreign entity promising you big money? All this money will be yours if you just send the following information…name, address, bank account number, blood type. It’s truly funny that these people think they can scam you with this; although I’m sure someone has taken the bait before.

But, the real question is…why is it easy to delete these messages as soon as you get them, but when you get one from one of your ‘email buddies’; you answer those questions? You know the ones I’m talking about. The messages that ask mundane questions like, what is your favorite color? What are you wearing right now? What did you eat this morning? Some of them are funny because you make it so…

Q: Do you have Adult Attention Deficiency Disorder?

A: That is a personal question that some people may find offens…ooooh, look a puppy!

Hey, don’t blame me…as adults; we have to find fun wherever we can! But I have a question about these little quizzes. With the constant rise in identity theft, why do we find it so easy to answer these things? Think about it. Some of the messages don’t go into detail about your life, but there are some that ask where you grew up and where you live. Yes, this email came from someone that you consider a friend. But, where did they get it? Is there some sort of program running behind the scenes waiting for you put your full government name in that space so they can start downloading your info?

Fine, you can call me paranoid; but, I’ll just keep answering ‘those’ emails like I always do:

What’s your name? Kim Pistachio Jackson

Where do you live? In my space

Where did you grow up? In that city that has trees

Yes…yes…I am a smart aleck. But, hey…Big Brother is watching and his geeky little brother is a hacker and/or a thief.

Into My World

I welcomed you with a smile

And you readily accepted

Smiling one of your own

We laughed and sighed daily

Creating and sharing moments

Until what we started had grown

Into a wondrous connection

A space filled with mutual love

And infinite and hopeful possibilities

In an instant when I thought

That I would never love another again

You arrived and removed the negativity

I allowed you into my world

With open arms and an open heart

Not knowing what lay behind the mask

A person that lies and lives maliciously

A person that tears everything down

Creating misery is his only breathing task

I felt abused though a finger had not been laid

Walking around with a bruised and tattered soul

Because you created a character and played him well

But it has slipped your mind…the woman I am

Because this phoenix always rises from the ashes

So watch me fly away as you reside in your own living hell.

Diamond

It's fairly easy to get info on people now... with Facebook, people literally give their info and whereabouts to people they barely know.

Those emails are an easy way to get viruses too. Spammers know that they can send an email with promised blessings and it will reach millions because everyone will send to friends and family. Only to leave your computer Instantly infected.

I don't think people consider where an email originally came from. They only care about who they received from. Kinda backwards but, never thought about it until u pointed it out.
