A few things to keep an eye on...

A few things to look forward to this weekend...

Tennessee Volunteers at Florida Gators

This is one of the most anticipated games of the year and for good reason. Sure it's a rivalry game within the
SEC conference, but it bumped up a notch when former Oakland Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin took the job in Knoxville.
He's caused a lot of controversy from saying that the Vols will beat the Gators in Gainsville this year, to accusing Florida head coach Urban Meyer of recruting violations. The Gators have had this game circled all year and I just don't think the Volunteers have the firepower to keep up with Florida.

D.Goard's prediction: Florida wins BIG.........Urban Meyer will make sure of it.

N.Y. Giants at Dallas Cowboys

O.k, sure rivalry game, two pretty good teams, and two premier quarterbacks. It may seem minor, but I'm kind of interested to see the new stadium myself. This will be the first home game for the Cowboys and they're expecting a packed house. Not just your normal 60, 70 thousand people on hand. Word is, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is expecting close to 110,000 fans to attend! Wow! For an NFL game?? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

D.Goard's Prediction: Giants spoil the party and win a close one.

Floyd Mayweather vs Juan Manuel Marquez

Floyd "Money" Mayweather is back in the ring. He'll be going up against Juan Manuel Marquez in a welterweight bout. Everybody remembers Mayweather's lightning-quick hand speed, and great defensive ability, but Marquez is no slouch. He gave Manny Pacquiao a hard time in their fight and some consider Pacquiao to be the best pound for pound fighter right now. It will be interesting to see if the long lay-off will affect Mayweather's performance.

D.Goard's Prediction: Mayweather in 8 rounds. I think Mayweather may be a little too big, and too quick for Marquez.
