Lebronland...10/07/09
Wow. First I’d like to apologize for the delay, I’ve been a little under the weather this past week and didn’t have a chance to post anything. But with so much going on in the sports world I couldn’t hold out much longer.

Lebronland, Ohio
Sure, it’s officially known as Cleveland, Ohio, but right now….It’s Lebron’s town and I’ll tell you why. Cleveland Brown wide receiver Braylon Edwards happened to be partying at a downtown Cleveland nightclub on Sunday night. Things started to spiral out of control when Edwards confronted one of Lebron James good friends, who happens to be a promoter at the club they were at. Edwards reportedly told the man that if not for James, that he’d pretty much be irrelevant in the city of Cleveland. The man rebuttled and Edwards then punched the man in the eye.
There’s been a lot speculation that Braylon Edwards was jealous of Lebron and his “team” in which Lebron, who’s never even met Edwards came out and admitted himself. If the allegations are true, this was a very bad decision on Braylon’s part. First of all, Edwards is a professional athlete himself, with plenty of money. Why not just go out and have a good time and go home? What is he gaining by bad mouthing one of Lebron’s friends? Maybe it was jealousy. Second of all, everyone knows you WILL NOT make it in Cleveland, Ohio if you ‘re at odds with Lebron James. Just won’t happen. When I first caught wind of what happened, I knew the Cleveland Browns management got on the phone and tried to trade Edwards to anybody who would take him.
On the other hand, I think Braylon Edwards is a talented guy, but very, very inconsistent. With him being a New York Jet now, he doesn’t have to feel pressured to make all of the plays. He’ll look at this as a new start and try to get back to pro bowl form. The Browns came out well because they knew they weren’t going to get full value for Edwards. Chansi Stuckey, a 3rd and 5th round draft pick and a special teams player was a good value at this point. And as for Lebron, there’s no question who the ‘King” of Cleveland is.

this guy can blame most of success (or lack thereof) to all of those dropped passes. he needed a taste of some humble pie.

Stanback, you're right. I don't know if the dropped passes are concentration issue or what. He has a lot of talent, but has to be able to catch the ball.
