Is Atlanta ready for the outcome of the Mayoral Race??

(UPH)-- Several polls have indicated that council woman Mary Norwood is in the lead for Atlanta's upcoming mayoral election.  This could bring about change that Atlanta has not seen in over 30 years.  She could become the city's first white mayor since 1974.  It has many looking at the Mayoral Race a little closer.  No pun intended...

Those who have been following my posts should know by now that I am fair and do not concern myself with the petty racial stuff.  But, I would like to know what others think about the possibility of Mary Norwood being elected.  Has the media given her color too much attention?  Or, do you believe that she will bring major shift (good or bad) to the demographics of Atlanta's leadership?

I know that in my community we've had mayors of several different races in the past. I think it can actually benefit a community if that community can view the leadership objectively. There will always be skeptics of people who are different than them, but for the most part my community has been pretty accepting of different leadership.
