Weekend outlook...11-14-09

What's up everybody! The weekend is here and I want to take a look at some big games that I'm looking forward to....

New England Patriots vs Indianapolis Colts

We've heard the hype all week. Two of the most successful teams this decade. Manning vs Brady. Primetime. Somewhat of a new-age rivalry, if you will. We know both teams can put up points, but the key to this game will be who's defense comes to play on Sunday. Should be a great game.

D.Goard Jr's Prediction: I like Indy slightly more in this one, because it's a home game for them and they should get more big plays from their defense than the Pats.

Iowa Hawkeyes vs Ohio State Buckeyes

The battle of the Big Ten will be deceided today in Columbus. The Buckeyes has had success in recent years against Iowa, but the Hawkeyes have played very gutsy this year. The key to the game will be if Iowa's backup QB James Vandenberg can lead this Iowa offense on the road.

D.Goard Jr's Prediction: I think Iowa has too many injury concerns and will have trouble moving the ball against this Ohio State defense. I like the Buckeyes by two scores.

Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto

What a match-up. Easily the fight of the year. Two of the best fighters in the sport will square off in Las Vegas in what looks to be an incredible fight.

D.Goard Jr's Prediction: It's almost too close to call, but I like Miguel Cotto in this one by the slightest of margins. I don't know if Pacquiao has seen the power of someone like Cotto. Now Manny is the quicker of the two and could come away with this one also, but I'm going with Cotto.

Good call on Indy. May have been different if Belichick wasnt playing Madden from the sidelines. But, I have to believe that he didnt trust his defense to hold them anyway.
