Kimberly Lacy: The new girl on the block

(UPH) -- Introducing; Kimberly Lacy the fiery and sassy new co-host for the upcoming HGTV reality based show “Curb Appeal: The Block”.

“Kimberly lights up the television screen when she's on camera. She is sassy and unpredictable in all the right ways.”  -Avelino Pombo (Series Producer/Casting Director/Director HGTV & Edelman Productions).

Lacy started in 2006 in television production as an intern for HGTV’s “Design to Sell” DC addition. She soon achieved success as; Production Coordinator and Lead Painter for “Design to Sell” Atlanta. You may have seen her on the show demonstrating paint techniques and providing tips for the viewers at home. She is now showcasing her talent, as co-host of HGTV’s up and coming show “Curb Appeal: The Block”.

Growing up in Dumas, Ark., Kimberly always had a knack for entertaining people. She would dress up in her grandparents’ clothes and play comedic roles. Kimberly used her entertainment abilities to play practical jokes on everyone in her family, many of whom would be bothered by her antics but would admit the joke was very funny.

Kimberly has always been a leader and has continuously strived for success. These characteristics contributed to her being class president and homecoming queen of her high school. After completing her education in the Washington, D.C., area, she applied the same characteristics to her new career in television as the lead painter and project coordinator in both Washington, D.C., and Atlanta’s version of Designed to Sell.

Kimberly is most noted for her on-camera paint tips, techniques and demonstrations. Kimberly’s talent, charisma and drive caught the attention of network executives, and she was asked to audition for a new show that was being created. The audition turned out to be a great success, and Kimberly was cast for HGTV’s new show Curb Appeal: The Block as project manager. Kimberly is a spunky out-spoken co-host and is responsible for bringing the neighborhood together as she tackles several mini curb appeal makeovers on the same block.

In Kimberly’s spare time, she operates her own artisan paint and design company, Anatomy of Design. She also works as a celebrity wardrobe stylist and has styled for national magazines such as Black Elegance (BE) and Essence. For more on Kimberly, check out www.kimberlylacy.com.
