Lame Kiffin switches lanes again...

Lane (Lame) Kiffin created quite the stir during his 14 months as an SEC coach. He jabbed with rival coaches, angered the commissioner, criticized the refs, broke a few NCAA rules ... then caused a student riot upon his departure.

All that for seven wins.

Kiffin is ditching Tennessee after just one season to replace his mentor, Pete Carroll, back at USC. If you're a Vols fan, you have every right to be mortified.  Trojans fans, too.

(UPH) - I'm just shaking my head on this one...  There should be a loyalty clause within coaching contracts.  Lane, you could have given the kids (at least) two years of service.  He is not the first or the last but, this jumping from one opportunity to the next is just not professional to say the least.  It just throws these schools and programs in disarray.  Well, good luck at USC Mr. Kiffin...You are going to need it because I think Pete Carroll left a ticking time bomb for you.

I'm happy. This goes to show that it's time for 2 things. 1. Playoffs for college. If there is a playoff, the same teams won't end up in BCS every year collecting fat checks to do this to these players when a coach comes in and leaves for the next big check.
    2. Pay the players more than that small per diem. They make the schools millions for 3 straight bowls and get less than $100,000 for 3 yrs of books, food, medical benefits, and a cot. C'mon. NCAA had this coming.

Yeah, the NCAA has to do something... I hear that Tennessee’s students started a mini riot after hearing news of Kiffin's departure.
