Lyrical Love:: Passion & Poetry

If you have never been to a Passion and Poetry show in Atlanta, I can honestly say that you are missing one of the hottest and exciting shows in Atlanta. It offers a seducing poetic ambiance while incorporating a thespian backdrop with a touch of sweet Jazz and R&B. Joyce Littel (former V-103 DJ of 19 yrs) and her company Littel Concepts LLC really showed up and showed out during these shows this weekend.

Malcolm Jamal Warner, better known as Theo from The Cosby Show, was the headlining poet at the 2 shows on 2/13 and Grammy Nominated R&B artist Eric Roberson was the featured soloist for the 2/14 show. If you haven't heard either of their material, you’re doing yourself a disservice. And although the headliners were good, the acts prior to them hitting the stage were as good, if not better, than they were.

It was riveting, spine tingling, heartfelt emotion all over the room and you felt like you were on stage with each and every act. When it was over, it left you begging for more. And as a treat, Eric decided to invite the Grammy Nominated Layla Hathaway on stage to perform their smash single from Eric Roberson's Music Fan First Album, Dealing.

All 3 shows were sold out prior to the event happening; although, Littel was fired 1 month ago and there was no promotion of the event following her departure from the radio station. This goes to show that a quality show will sell itself and that’s exactly what happened in this instance.
