When I was young, still learning and growing in the ways of the world and myself; a phrase descended upon the English language...'I got your back.' I couldn't tell you where it originated from, but it has since evolved to mimic the need it now, fast paced, micro mode of today...'I got you'. But, you know something? Even though I'm still learning because I will never know everything and I think I've grown as tall as I'm going to be; I do know that my Father still has my back. He pushes adversity out my way and keeps an eye on who follows me. Why do you think the devil always comes at you sideways? He THINKS that's the only way to get at you! So, the next time somebody attempts to take you out of your destined lane and you want to get irritated, yell, or maybe even curse. All you know is that you want to FIGHT BACK!!! Take a deep spiritual breath, smile the smile of a saint (because you are one), and brush your shoulders off. Think about it. If you're walking along your path of destiny and you have the tunnel vision to complete the walk that He has you on...how would somebody get your attention? With a tap on your shoulder...coming at you sideways.
