Is this still considered part of the ministry?

(UPH) --  I already know that most of you are going to say that this is just some buck-foolery in the name of religion.  But, have you ever considered that most of today's widely accepted gospel music was once a foreign activity in worship?  I'm just saying...I don't think there were mass choirs when Jesus walked the earth.  Sure, there were choirs of angels that gave praise but, I believe it was quite different from what we see today.  Also, I seriously doubt there were any solos prior to the Sermon on the Mount.

So, what is your opinion?  Does today's ministry of gospel music equally glorify the Lord or is it too just another distraction from the good word?
