“I need a little advice. I’m new to the dating scene; just got out of a relationship that lasted a year. But, it seems that every man that I’ve met is expecting something that is not going to happen. Just this last week; one guy was on the phone, moaning for no reason that I could have given him and when I asked what was he doing he responded like he just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and another thought that because he took me to dinner (TGI Friday’s) that I was expected to give him ‘something’. I just don’t get it. I’m a fairly attractive woman that has been blessed with certain assets, but how does that translate into ‘I’ll be your real life blow up doll?’. Do I just NOT date?”- D.D. Wow. Unfortunately, some men have a warped view of the correct way to woo a woman. Then there are the men that just look at all potential women as their playmates in their playground of life. I won’t tell you that you can find who you’re looking for in church or at the grocery store; because those same men go to church and shop for food…don’t be fooled by the location of your meeting. All I can offer you is to stop thinking about not dating. Not all men have this overly driven desire to act ‘out of pocket’ when it comes to women and their assets. Just take your time and weed out the undesirables. You must remember that in this day and age of the ‘Now’ Generation; some people (not just men) have taken on that same aspect and applied it to their love lives. Hungry? Forget cooking a dinner…zap it in the microwave. Just as it takes time to actually prepare a home cooked meal…the same goes for a relationship…it takes time. And if the gentlemen that you meet are not prepared for the wait; then they should not be in your kitchen.
