UPH fans, take the time to read this article on the state of the NBA. Come back for the interesting take on the article from our own D. Goard Jr.

D. Harvey – So, tell us your feelings after reading this article.

Goard Jr. - Who wrote this? Honestly, I can't really get the point of what the writer is even trying to say. If you are going out on a limb and be objective, you can't make comments like that without getting the facts straight. It doesn't make sense.

D. Harvey . – Do you have any thoughts, issues, ideas? It doesn’t matter at this point, but this has to go full blast.

Goard Jr. - I mean...What is he trying to say?? J.J. Hickson is a scrub? Since when do scrubs average 17 pts a game? Antawn Jamison doesn't want to be there and I think the Cavs want to go in a different direction anyway. He'll be traded before the trade deadline, book it.

Larry Hughes messed up his own career. He had plenty of opportunities in Cleveland and never showed up. Larry Hughes needs to be around shooters to be effective. I don't see how that was Lebron's fault. He should have stayed in Washington with Gilbert Arenas.

D. Harvey - I like where he was going. Some players are being blackballed and some are being kept around, but for what reason?

AI vs. TMac

TMac has proven that he just cant get it done. He’s not the same player. TMac was up there w/Kobe and Bron and all those players not b/c of his offense, but b/c of his transition from Defense to Offense. He had the same offensive skills, but he could defend anyone. Block shots, pass better than Kobe , and shoot better than Bron. He can’t do that anymore.

Amare can’t do anything on those legs w/o a pg to set him up. Rarely does he make a move from the free throw line and score alone. He shoots a lot of jumpers like Webber used to do after surgery. Still very affective, but he’s younger than most too. Still not 30 yet!

A.I. burned too many bridges w/his substance abuse problems. Caused him to spend all his money, alienate his family, and cause teams to not want to risk chemistry for his diminishing skills. He’s not highlight reel b/c his body has obviously broken down due to punishment, but I would still have his heart on my team if his head was good enough to understand his new role and it’s not. So yes, he deserved everything he’s getting b/c of his non humble spirit.

Goard Jr - T-Mac did it to himself too. He’s selfish! Always was! I'll never forget the post game press conference with Orlando and he had like 50 points and pretty much told the media that he did his job and it wasn't his fault that they lost. When you look at the box score, yeah he did...but as a leader of the team...you can't talk like that. He doesn't have no where near the passion of a Kobe or even Lebron for that matter. Nobody wants T-Mac because he all he cares about is stats and money. Ditto for his “cuzzo”, "Air Canada "

Amare will be good as long as he in the right system. It's a lot of big men that can't be effective without a good pg in there.

A.I. has the passion to want to win...he just wants to do it his way. He has yet to humble himself. Instead of contributing to a contender, he held on to his pride and is now playing overseas. But I've always said that A.I. won't play that long anyway. His style of play isn't built for the long haul.

D. Harvey - TMac grew from that 50 pt player. He was young and selfish, I’m talking about the grown TMac. He became a leader and his body let him down. Maybe punishment for his younger years. His cousin just never wanted to be a star. Wasn’t a star in high school, wasn’t one in college, now he was ballooned based on his leaping ability. He was just a glorified role player anyway. Tracy had all the game. We saw that in their one-on-one matchups.

But Vince is a smart young man, family man, and very humble. Never liked the spotlight and never ran towards it. Tracy almost challenged him to get in that dunk contest, which was the greatest spectacle of dunks in the history of the league by one guy.

You’re right about AI, period!

Goard Jr - I agree. Tracy had way more dog in him than Vince. But like I say Tracy just cares about money and stats. Talent wise he was right there with Kobe . But, when Tracy was injured, he said I'll come back when my body is ready. Kobe and A.I. were too much of warriors to say something like that. They would do everything they can to get back in that line-up. I can't say the same about Tracy .
