(UPH) - Since we have all heard what we should do on Valentine's Day...I figured that I come up with a list of things not to do on Valentine’s Day.

• Don't go buying stuff for yourself if you are single.  You're still not going to feel good about yourself afterward.

• Don't come home empty handed just to rush back out to get her something.  Damage is done...son!

• Don't do the same thing that you did last year for your mate.  You will get talked about to her friends for being the "basic" dude that you are.

• Don't take your date on a picnic.  It's still cold outside man!  Bad weather will surely take away any points that you earned with the idea.

• Don't do the same thing as her ex did prior to you.  It's your job to differentiate yourself from them.

• Don't keep trying to cook for her if you know that you can't cook.  The thought only counts the first time that you do this.  After that, you will get no sympathy from messing up a good meal.

• Don't break the bank on the first date. There is a great possibility that there won't be a second date.
