Thought for today...

Psalm 37:5 (New King James Version)

Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.

Psalm 37:5 (New Living Translation)

Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.

A lot of people say ‘And this too shall pass’ when someone is suffering from some form of trauma. Whether it’s a death, illness, job loss, heartbreak, or just the stresses of every day life as a person and/or parent. But what about when things are looking up? Yes, I know you give that shout out of ‘Thank You, Jesus!’ or ‘Thank God!’. But is that it? Is that the extent of your gratitude? Think about it. You prayed for His help every time you bowed your head. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, bible study, Saturday service, praise and worship, every second you thought about it. You bargained and begged. I hope and pray that you realize your mistake. You see…my Father is in the Blessing Business. There’s no bargain to make. There’s no need to beg. Once you have said ‘Yes’, the only thing you have to do is continue to love and grow in your relationship with Him. And that trauma? Those are nothing but life lessons; things necessary to transpire in your own personal development as His child. For example…yes, it pains me that my grandmother is no longer of this earth. But, she is with me everyday. Her wisdom, wisecracking, generosity, and love carry on with me and the family and I pray that ‘this’ does not pass. So, no worries as you experience and learn these lessons. Our Father knows what He’s doing. Although, you can still bow your head every second you think about it and talk to Him. Trust me…He loves to hear from you.
